The Hope Inn was situated on Mitchell Hill. This pub was demolished to make way for road widening in the 1960/1970s. Publican in 1860 was Edward Martin.

Gloria Thomas	1944/1952	I used to live in this pub from the above dates. Mum and Dad used to take in many lorry drivers and when the fair came to Truro some used to to stay with us. We got free rides every day.
