The Star was situated on Wych Hill. This pub closed in 2014.

I used to live in the house next to The Star (and attached to the hairdressers) in the mid-eighties. Terry & Linda were the landlord and landlady at the time. We were decorating the house at the time and used to pop into the pub for last orders. Because we were neighbours, Terry used to let us take our pints of beer home and return the glasses the next day.
